Golf Game Improvement Tip

PURTZER GOLF ACADEMY GOLF GAME IMPROVEMENT TIP

March. 3, 2004

This weeks tip is about creating a complete golf improvement plan and following through on its execution. But, instead of going into detail about this specifically at this time, I'm going to introduce you to a website that is designed in part to help you do just that. The website is called AspringGolfer.com. It provides a wide variety of online tools for golfers that make many of the tasks I ask my students to do time and time again easier and more effective.

It takes the things that many of us know we should do (but don't because of time) and makes it possible for us to do so. It will be a key ingredient for me when working with my students in the future, and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting the most out of their game.

Just some of the things the site provides.... you can set goals for yourself in many areas including long term goals, handicap goals, game performance goals, and training time goals. You can define your own training program with schedule, routine, favorite drills and exercises, keys for improvement, etc. You can keep a detailed training log which will show you how much time you are spending time in every key area and let you keep an organized, prioritized list of lessons learned.

You can keep all of your important game statistics (such as GIR's, Fairways Hit, Putts, etc.). You can define a preshot routine, putting routine, warm-up routine, as well as a categorized list of positive experiences you have had on the golf course. You can keep a golf journal to write about your experiences and share with others. You can create a detailed tournament schedule and create a tournament preparation plan for each tournament you play in, including a hole-by-hole course strategy. You can keep a detailed golf resume in case you are trying to pursue college golf opportunities or looking for financial support for a professional golf career.

In the future, many of the tips I share with you will include ways that you can use AspiringGolfer.com to maximize the effectiveness of the tip in your games. So, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the site and the tools, so you can start incorporating its many great features into your golf game today.

Go to www.AspiringGolfer.com now - you will be glad you did.
